Five IMCA divisions head to High Banks for Showdown at MoTown

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Drivers in five IMCA divisions battle it out on the High Banks of Mar­shalltown Speedway, at the Sept. 4 Showdown at MoTown. 

IMCA Modifieds chase a $1,000 top check in their 2021 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot quali­fier. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods both race for $500 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts – the 4-cylinder class is new to the card – both for $300 to win. 

There is no entry fee and pit passes are $30. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded.

Pit gates open at 5:15 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:55 p.m. with racing to follow.

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and free for kids ages 10 and under.

Stuart Frostbuster now canceled, Marshalltown, Boone dates still on

IMCA STARS Mod Lites have May 27-29 Cornbelt Clash dates

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (May 23, 2022) – IMCA STARS Mod Lites race for $500 to win each night of their Cornbelt Clash tripleheader over the Memorial Weekend. Features Friday, May 27 at Marshalltown Speedway, Saturday, May 28 at Boone Speedway and Sunday, May 29 at Stuart Speedway all pay a minimum of $100 to start. Yoshimura bonuses of $250, $150 and $100 will be paid to top three eligible finishers on Sunday; hard chargers each night also receive a certificate for a STARS plated tire from Hooser. Entry fee is $30 and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, KMJ Performance State and track points will be awarded each night. Pit gates open at 5:15 p.m. and racing is at 7:30 p.m. at Marshalltown. Marshalltown postpones Bill Davis Memorial

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Marshalltown Speedway’s inaugural Bill Davis Memorial, scheduled for tonight (Thursday) at the famed High Banks has been postponed to July 11 during the Central Iowa Fair.  The IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing season opener will be pushed back a week to Friday, April 19.  “Due to cold temperatures and the amount of rain we have received, it will make it impossible to get the track ready,” explained promoter Toby Kruse. “It’s always hard to cancel an event but we want to make sure our fans and racers have the best experience when they come to Marshalltown.”  On the card next week at IMCA’s longest sanctioned track will be IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods.
