Gullion gets RaceSaver Sprint win at Eagle

EAGLE, Neb. (Aug. 1) – Adam Gullion became the ninth different IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car winner in as many events this season Saturday at Eagle Raceway.

The fifth different leader Gullion saw his first pass for the front spot negated by a caution. He was not to be denied, however, and took the lead on the ensuing restart. Gene Ackland got past Jor­dan Grabouski two laps later and Jason Danley also passed him with three to go making the final top four in the evening’s finale Gullion, Ackland, Danley and Grabouski.

After taking the lead with nine laps to go, Johnny Saathoff took the IMCA Modified feature win.

Following a first-lap restart, Saathoff worked his way into the top four and set his sights on the front spot. Mike Densberger was the runner-up and Grabouski rallied from an early entanglement to end in third. 

Albert Kiihne collected the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock checkers, Adam Vrbka paced the Karl Kus­toms Northern SportMods and Josh Young was the Mach-1 Sport Compact winner.

Drueke soars in Sprint Series of Nebraska at Eagle

(April 25) – Two drivers who definitely know the fast way around Eagle Raceway squared off in a Precise Racing Sprint Series of Nebraska tilt.  Tyler Drueke got the better of Joey Danley in the Thursday night main event, which ran caution-free and was contested to the checkers.  Rounding out the top five were Josh Riggins, Cody Ledger and two-time series champion Adam Gullion Riggins, Gullion, Neil Nickolite and Keith Dragoo led the field on lap one; Drueke vaulted past Nickolite and Dragoo on lap three, moved to second with 17 to go and snagged the lead six laps later. Ledger moved into fourth with nine laps remaining. Danley passed Ledger two laps later, advanced to third with four to go and took the second spot on the next circuit, ultimately coming up just one position short of the checkers. Feature results – 1. Guaranteed to be a “10,” IMCA RaceSaver Nationals kick off at Eagle

EAGLE, Neb. (Sept. 1, 2022) – An event that’s guaranteed to be a “10” kicks off tonight at Eagle Raceway. More than 100 IMCA Sprint Car drivers from 13 states and New Zealand are in town for the Thursday practice session and race of champions qualifying that set the stage for the 10th annual RaceSaver Nationals. They’ll race for $3,000 to win and a minimum of $1,500 to start the Sunday, Sept. 4 main event, with IMCA adding a $1,500 bonus to the winning driver provided they had made at least one 2022 sanctioned start coming into the weekend. Another $2,500 bonus will be paid to the highest finishing driver who has competed at each of the first nine RaceSaver Nationals.  Miss Eagle Raceway will be crowned during intermission on Sunday and 27 cars start the main event three-wide.  Friday, Sept. 2 and Saturday, Sept. 3 qualifying features both pay $700 to win. RaceSaver Enterprises pays $100 to heat winners both nights while Precise Racing Products sponsors Saturday’s $1,000 to win, $200 to start race of champions. Oaks soars to first win at Eagle

(May 12) – Steffen Oaks took the lead with four laps left en route to taking the first checkers of his ATV Motorsports IMCA Sport Compact career victory Saturday at Eagle Race­way. His drive to the front started outside row four. “It took me awhile to finally get a win, with several second places, but I finally got it!,” he said post-race. “It was a really fast track tonight, but man, those bumps about got me a few times. I managed to keep it straight and hold on for the win.” Casey Moyer won his first Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stock feature since the 2012 season and Lance Borgman raced from 10th starting to win the Purdue University IMCA Northern SportMod main event for the third time already this season at Eagle. Jordan Grabouski got the lead early in winning the Runner Freight IMCA Modified feature and Tyler Drueke took charge with nine laps remaining in winning the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature.
