King of the Creek Stock Car checkers are good for $5,000

FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (Aug. 19) – Cam Reimers sailed to the $10,000 checkers in the Captain of the Creek feature for IMCA Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods at 141 Speedway. Then he enjoyed some more Wisconsin hospitality, signing autographs and sampling barbeque in the pit area at Francis Creek along with several hundred new friends. The outside front row starter led all 50 laps of the Thursday night main event, keeping Jayden Schmidt in second most of the distance before holding hard charger Elijah Koenig at bay the last four times around the track. (July 28) – Shawn Kilgore, Kelsy Hayes and Greg Gretz put on a thriller of a show during the final laps of the IMCA Modified feature Saturday at 141 Speedway before Kilgore picked up the win.   Gretz and Hayes dueled early, swapped the lead multiple times until Gretz gained control down low. Hayes was not be deterred and brought her ‘A’ game up top, tracking down Gretz and pulling even on lap 13. The 12th starting Kilgore worked his way through the field to join the top duo and the final five laps saw numerous three-wide battles. Hayes used the top to grab just enough of a lead for Kilgore to clear Gretz. Kilgore pulled a slide job to perfection on Hayes and grabbed the lead with Hayes pulling a slide job of her own back on Kilgore. FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. – Prestige, bragging rights and a top check of $10,000 are on the line when IMCA Modified drivers from across the country converge on 141 Speedway for the Wednesday and Thursday, June 17-18 Clash at the Creek. The Clash is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event and pays a minimum of $750 to start. Ken Schrader is among the early entries for the 12th annual special.  IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods race for $1,000 to win both nights at Francis Creek. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central Region and EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region and Wisconsin State points will be awarded.
