IMCA Modifieds chase $5,000 check at RPM Speedway’s Fall Nationals

HAYS, Kan. – IMCA Modifieds chase a top check of $5,000 at RPM Speedway’s Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4 and 5 Fall Nationals.

The main event is a 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier and pays a minimum of $400 to start.

Also on the card for the 13^th annual Fall Nationals are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars racing for $3,000 to win and $250 to start, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods for $2,000 to win and $175 to start, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $1,500 to win and $175 to start, and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $400 to win and $50 to start.

Adult grandstand admission is $15 while kids 12 and under get in free both nights when accompanying a paid adult. Pit passes are $30 on Friday and on Saturday.

Racing starts at 5 p.m. each day. RACEceivers and transponders are required. Transponders can be rented at the track.

he Britney Motorsports Fueled by Casey’s practice night for all divisions runs from 6-10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3. Grandstand admission is free and pit passes are $25 that evening.

United Rebel Sprint Series on Wheatshocker Nationals card at RPM

HAYS, Kan. – The Mel Hambelton Ford Racing POWRi United Rebel Series will gear up for the 12th annual Wheatshocker Nationals at RPMS in Hays on July 11 and 12. This race has been a staple on the URSS schedule since 2008. The Sunday portion of the event will pay $2,000 to win and a minimum of $200 to start. Gates will open at 4 p.m. each day with hot laps slated to begin shortly after 6 p.m. and green flag action at 7 p.m.

Bowers is at his best for biggest IMCA win

HAYS, Kan. (Oct. 2-3) – Already a regular visitor to victory lane at RPM Speedway, Steven Bowers Jr. parked there again Saturday night after the biggest win of his IMCA Modified career. Bowers caught and passed long-time race leader Tom Berry for the $5,000 Fall Nationals feature win, adding another exclamation point to what has already been an amazing season. “This was pretty exciting, after the season we’ve had. The 2022 track champion at Hays got the lead on just the second circuit and held off a bevy of challengers before collecting his career 65th checkers in the class. Their 20-lap feature had started with a front row of Trevor Geist and Don Geist. Trevor gained the early advantage but quickly Rohleder settled into second place and took the lead on lap two. By lap four, Dylan Sherfick found third place and a lap later got by Trevor Geist for second. Jeremy Frenier got to third just before a caution came out. Sherfick and Rohleder raced side-by-side for the lead at halfway. Manning Flips, Then Flies to Victory in Bill & Shirley Memorial at Mohave Valley

(Mar. 22, 2025) — It was a wild night for Gavyn Manning at Mohave Valley Raceway, as the Bakersfield, California driver went from flipping early in the night during hot laps to standing in victory lane after winning the $2,000-to-win 5th Annual Bill & Shirley Memorial. Manning capitalized on a strong restart to take control of the race and never looked back in the 25-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature. The 3/8-mile oval hosted 29 competitors from across the Shaw Race Cars Western Region, setting the stage for an action-packed night. The 2021 National IMCA Southern SportMod champion surged to the lead in the closing laps to collect his first victory of the 2025 campaign in the division’s first appearance at the ¼-mile oval. The 20-lap main event began with 2013 IMCA National Modified champion William Gould setting the pace. He held steady through two early cautions, but things changed quickly after a lap-nine restart. Jake Upchurch, a three-time KSP IMCA SportMod track champion, used the high side to rocket from fifth to second and began challenging Gould. Ramey Scores First Career Win at Heart O’ Texas’ Gene Adamcik Memorial

By Ben Deatherage ELM MOTT, Texas (Mar. 21, 2025) — Dylan Ramey captured his first-ever RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car main event win Friday night at Heart O’Texas Speedway during the Gene Adamcik Memorial. The 22-year-old Fort Worth native was both emotional and elated in victory lane after achieving the milestone victory. Starting from the front row, Ramey held off defending track champion Claud Estes III at the drop of the green. As Estes battled Jeb Sessums for second, Ramey built a solid lead — one that vanished in lapped traffic by lap 6, allowing both challengers to close in. Sessums, wheeling the Taco Casa Racing entry, made a bold three-wide move on the leaders in turn three, but a caution negated the pass, allowing Ramey to keep the top spot.
