Parker, Van Ooyen, Miller motor to wins at Outagamie

SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 5) – First-time 2019 winners were the story Friday at Outagamie Speed­way. 

Adam Reed took the lead away from Chase Parker early in the IMCA Modified feature. Parker moved to the top groove, retaking the front spot on lap five. Parker continued to lead as Wyatt Block Jr.  and newcomer Cody Schroeder gave pursuit.  

Parker was up for the challenge, holding off all challengers to score his first win of the season. Block was second while Schroeder took third in only his third night in the class.   

In IMCA Sunoco Stock Car action, it was Mike Schmidt leading the first half of the feature. That’s when Chas Van Ooyen found traction up top, racing around Schmidt for the lead with six laps remaining.  

Josh Mroczkowski hounded Van Ooyen all the way to the checkers. For Van Ooyen it was his first feature win of the season. 

Travis Rhoades was in command of the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature, building up a straightaway advantage over Bernie Miller. While navigating lapped traffic Rhodes had an alterca­tion with a tire that a lapped car kicked up right in front of him. Rhodes collected the tire, breaking the steering on his machine and ending his bid for his first feature win. 

Miller inherited the lead with five laps remaining to score his first win of the season. 

Brian Johnson was victorious in the Mach-1 Sport Compacts.

Buckarma bags $750 payday at Outagamie

(July 29, 2022) – Nick Buckarma outlasted Clint Forstner to score his first IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win of the season, good for $750 and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star qualifying eligibility, Saturday night as 108 racers checked to do battle at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC. Forstner drew the pole and led until Buckarma used the outside groove to slip by up top on the third lap. Forstner went back to work down low, retaking the lead on the 12th lap. The duo raced side-by-side the remainder of the event with Kyle Frederick a close third. With two laps remaining, Buckarma was able to find the momentum up top to grab the top spot once again. Buckarma held on by a fender to score a thrilling win. Forstner was second, Frederick took third, Wyatt Block placed fourth and Brett Wenzel completed the top five.   In Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod action it was Skyler Woods taking command early on as last week’s winner Jake Carpenter worked his way through the field from row six. Schmidt scores big payday at Outagamie

(Aug. 26, 2022) – Seven hundred dollars awaited the winner in Friday’s Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature at Outagamie Speedway and it was Jordan Jahnke jumping to the lead early on until Ryan Schmidt raced from row eight and to the lead on lap three. Schmidt never looked back, scoring the payday with his third win of the season. Cory Kemkes stayed in the title fight with second place finish, Janke took third, Matthew Radtke took fourth and Chris Kuchta rounded out the top five. It was heartbreak in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds as Jordan Bartz looked well on her way to victory lane until her racer began to run rough on lap 15. Bartz slowed and rolled to the infield, ending a bid for her first win of the season. Hunter Parson inherited the top spot and held off hard-charging JJ Andersen to score his first win of the year. Hebbe conquers IMCA Stock Car competition at Outagamie Speedway

By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 11) – Larry Karcz Jr. held court early in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature Friday at Outagamie Speedway as he ran the top groove with Kevin Hebbe giving chase. Midway through the contest, Hebbe pulled even with Karcz. The duo battled door-to-door with Hebbe taking the top spot on lap 12. Karcz stayed within striking distance but in the end, it was Hebbe besting a solid field of cars for his first win of the season. Karcz had to settle for second at the pay window. Brandon Czarapata was third, Rod Snellenberger took fourth and Logan Leary completed the top. In the IMCA Modifieds, Lucas Lamberies threaded the needle from his second row starting spot to make a three-wide pass for the lead on the opening lap. Lamberies pulled away from the field, dominating the event. When the checkers fell it was Lamberies taking home the win by a margin of eight seconds.
