IMCA Modifieds headline weekend Septemberfest at Beatrice

BEATRICE, Neb. (March 26, 2022) – Jake McBirnie was the winner the first night he brought an IMCA Modified to Beatrice Speedway while Benji Legg was the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car winner on a night he hadn’t even planned to race. McBirnie topped the Saturday Nebraska’s Dirt Crown Spring Tour main event for the Modifieds, earning $2,500 and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility for his start-to-finish run at the front of the 25-lapper. Legg’s $2,000 checkers made him eligible to qualify for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. His career third win in the class also came in his first start since rolling on night two of Beatrice’s Spring Nationals. BEATRICE, Neb. – Jordan Grabouski is hoping two milestone achievements earned on the same night lead to a third accomplishment at the end of the season. Grabouski won his IMCA Modified career 200th feature on Friday, completing the rare feat of sweeping the regular season at his hometown track with his 11th victory in as many starts at Beatrice Speedway. The victory was the 27th of the year for Grabouski, running for a third national championship. “It’s always cool to win at Beatrice. This is the track where I grew up so it’s got a special place in my heart,” said Grabouski, IMCA’s national champion in 2011 and 2016. “I grew up watching a lot of great drivers at Beatrice. BEATRICE, Neb. – IMCA Modifieds get top billing at Beatrice Speedway’s Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16-17 Octoberfest.      The opening night qualifying feature pays $1,000 to win and sends the top four finishers to Saturday’s $2,000 to win Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying main event. Minimum start money in both races is $200 and entry fee is $50 each day.      IMCA Sunoco Late Models race for $1,000 to win each night, MCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods race for $500 and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200.      Entry fees each night are $25 for the Late Models, Stocks, Hobbies and SportMods, and $20 for the Sport Compacts.
