Fan Zone continues to be center of off-track activities during week of Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – There will be plenty to see and enjoy through­out the week of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in the Fan Zone, located south of the main grandstands at Boone Speedway.

Nu­merous events each day of America’s Racin’ Vacation Sept. 3-8.

The Casey’s General Store redraw for starts in the front two rows of the Deery Brothers Summer Series main event will be held at approximately 7 p.m. on Monday.

Card games to determine the starting grid for Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock race of champi­ons events will be held at approximately 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively, on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Monday’s Hobby Stock and Northern SportMod qualifying feature winners sign autographs at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Drivers in the two divisions winning qualifiers that evening sign autographs during an­other 6 p.m. session on Wednesday, Sept. 5.

Top four finish­ers from Wednesday’s Modified and Stock Car qualifiers Rochambeau for starting positions and sign autographs starting at 4 p.m.  and 6 p.m., respectively on Thursday, Sept. 6.

Best appearing Modified entries are on display beginning at 1 p.m. and qualifiers from Thursday features for Modifieds and Stock Cars take their turns in the Fan Zone starting at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7.

Drivers starting that even­ing’s Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational will sign autographs in the Fan Zone circa 7 p.m.

Sunoco Race Fuels Race of Champions and Harris Auto Racing Race of Champions card games are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8. Friday’s Stock Car and Modified qualifiers sign autographs at 4 p.m.

All-Star qualifications are announced for Stock Cars

BOONE, Iowa – A division that’s seen recent record numbers at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s sees its All-Stars compete in an invitational of their own this September at Boone Speedway. IMCA officials have announced that an All-Star race for Stock Cars will be new to the 39th annual event and sponsored by B & B Racing Chassis. In addition to his or her share of the purse, which is to be announced, the winner of the inaugural event receives a bare powder coated chassis valued at $4,800. 2020 regional and state champions are eligible to compete in qualifying as are drivers who won sanctioned events that paid $750 or more and were held following last year’s Super Nationals. Early entries for Super Nationals top 750

BOONE, Iowa – More than 750 entries are now in hand for the Sept. 3-8 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway. First win for Fye on opening night at Boone

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (May 6, 2023) – After suffering three straight weeks of rain outs, the Boone Speedway finally got its regular season of track points racing underway on Saturday night and Danny Fye became a first-time Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature winner. Fye led all 20 laps, holding back the advances of Cole Fenske in the closing circuits in capturing the victory.  Following second place Fenske was hard charger and 15th place starter Braden Richards in third. Randy Bryan had a bit of luck on his side with his win in the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite contest. He had passed early leader Ben George on lap four to take over the number one spot, but was docked two spots for a jump on the start. He pulled away from the field and though running out front, was scored in third spot.
