Early entries top 110 for IMCA Harris Clash at Deer Creek Speedway

SPRING VALLEY, Minn. – More than 110 IMCA Modified and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod drivers are now entered for the history-making Harris Clash.

Deer Creek Speedway hosts the 27th annual event next Tuesday, Aug. 7. Modifieds will race for $3,000 to win, Northern SportMods for $1,000 to win when the first-ever IMCA-sanc­tioned event is held at the Spring Valley, Minn., oval.

The Modified feature is a qualifying event for the 2019 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Minnesota State points are at stake for both divisions.

Modifieds also earn Side Biter Chassis North Central Region points. The 61 drivers now pre-entered in that division are:

Late entry fees are $100 for Modifieds and $70 for Northern SportMods.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4 p.m. on race day at Spring Valley. Hot laps and the drivers’ meeting precede racing at 7 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $20 for adults and $5 for kids ages 12 and under. Pit passes are $35 for adults, $20 for students ages 6-15 and $5 for kids ages five and under.

(Aug. 6) – An IMCA Modified driver who’s been racking up some impres­sive wins this summer added another one to his resume Tuesday nigh Austin Arneson topped the 28th annual Harris Clash at Deer Creek Speedway, leading the last 11 of 30 laps and outrunning fellow North Dakota hotshoe Tom Berry Jr. in the dash to the checkers coming out of the final turn. “It was a great night for me. IMCA Modifieds and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods headline the 28th annual event at Deer Creek Speedway on Aug. 6. Thirteen states are represented by the list of pre-registered competi­tors. Modifieds race for $3,000 to win, plus a $500 bonus if their chassis was built by a Manufacturers’ Cup participant, plus a berth on the 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Tradition, prestige and the pay all highlight 32nd annual IMCA Harris Clash at Deer Creek

SPRING VALLEY, Minn. (Aug. 4, 2023) – Being part of a tradition and the prestige bring Friesen Performance IMCA Modified and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods back to Deer Creek Speedway for the Tuesday, Aug. 8 Harris Clash. The pay is pretty good, too.
