FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (July 28) – Shawn Kilgore, Kelsy Hayes and Greg Gretz put on a thriller of a show during the final laps of the IMCA Modified feature Saturday at 141 Speedway before Kilgore picked up the win.
Gretz and Hayes dueled early, swapped the lead multiple times until Gretz gained control down low. Hayes was not be deterred and brought her ‘A’ game up top, tracking down Gretz and pulling even on lap 13.
The 12th starting Kilgore worked his way through the field to join the top duo and the final five laps saw numerous three-wide battles. Hayes used the top to grab just enough of a lead for Kilgore to clear Gretz. Kilgore pulled a slide job to perfection on Hayes and grabbed the lead with Hayes pulling a slide job of her own back on Kilgore.
Gretz stayed with them as the trio went three-wide at the white flag.Kilgore proved to be just tough enough on the final lap to secure the win over Gretz and Hayes. Russ Reinwald finished fourth with Josh Lambert fifth.
One hundred and forty-two cars competed in the car fights. Other winners included Kyle Frederick in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Cody Schroeder in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Shaun Bangart in the Mach-1 Sport Compacts.
FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (Aug. 16, 2023) – Tyler Sobiesczyk earned $10,000 worth of redemption Wednesday night at 141 Speedway’s East Central Coin Captain of the Creek. The Shawano speedster got to the lead late in the 50-lapper, then outran fellow Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod heavyweights Logan Anderson, Colby Fett and Cam Reimers to the career-best payday. “It doesn’t get any better than this. (July 6) – Jeremy Christians told Santa Claus he would take care of his own stocking stuffer present by taking home the $1,200 IMCA Sunoco Stock Car payday on Christmas in July Night Saturday at 141 Speedway. Christians played The Grinch to 38 other competitors. Christians and Rod Snellenberger drew the front row for the feature and Christians took quick advantage of his outside starting spot and got around Snellenberger. Snellenberger stayed with the leader but had heavy pressure from Shawn Havel, who made his way around Snellenberger and set his sights on the top prize. Christians rode around the rim of the speedway with Havel trying multiple lines throughout the event to try and make the pass. Havel got an A for effort but could never make a good enough charge. Christians never faulted and took home the win and $1,200 payday in front of Havel. (May 27, 2025) — One of Wisconsin’s richest and most prestigious dirt track events returns to 141 Speedway this June as the 17th annual Clash at the Creek, presented by Quietwoods RV, promises two nights of thrilling and a massive payday for the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds. Set for Tuesday and Wednesday, June 10-11, with a Test and Tune session on Monday, June 9, the Clash will pay a whopping $10,000 to the Modified feature winner on Wednesday night. The format has been revamped for 2025 to create even more competitive racing and opportunities for drivers to reach the main event.
