Eagle River Speedway to Host Pair of Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Qualifiers

EAGLE RIVER, Wis. (June 17, 2026) — Eagle River Speedway will host a pair of Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifying events on Tuesday, June 30, and Tuesday, July 21, at the third-mile clay oval.

Both Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified specials will pay $1,000 to win and $125 to start. A draw/redraw format will be used for both programs.

The winner of each event will earn eligibility to attempt to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational, which will be held during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway in September.

“With all of the card-carrying IMCA Modified drivers just to the south of us, we’ve actually had a pretty good buzz about hosting two of these races,” said promoter Pat Zdroik. “We’re hoping for a decent turnout for both of those scheduled events.”

There will be no draw fee for either event.

Sponsors for the specials include Dustin White Construction, Mike Winter Seasonal Services, and Harry’s on the Lake.

Racing begins at 7 p.m. on both nights.

IMCA Stock Cars are new attraction at Eagle River

EAGLE RIVER, Wis. (Feb. 15, 2024) – The newest attraction at Eagle River Speedway are the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. The Class Too Tough To Tame joins the weekly lineup at the extreme northern Wisconsin track, with a dozen shows scheduled on Tuesday nights between May 26 and Aug. 20. “We like the class and the IMCA rules package. Glembin Goes Wire-to-Wire for First Stock Car Win of ’25 at Eagle River

(Jul. 15, 2025) –– Hometown driver Ryan Glembin led every lap en route to winning his first Suncoo IMCA stock car feature of the year here at Eagle River Speedway Tuesday. Glembin outraced fellow front row starter Jonathan Miller into the lead at the drop of the green of the 15 lap contest. The race went caution free, with Glembin collecting his first EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region checkered flag of the ’25 campaign. Miller took second across the finish line, followed by Jason Zdroik.

Stankowski Holds Off Late Charges for Eagle River Stock Car Victory

(May 23, 2026) — Wausau’s Mitch Stankowski fought off a late-race charge from a trio of veterans to earn a hard-fought Sunoco IMCA Stock Car victory at Eagle River Speedway. Hometown driver Trentin Bell led the opening four laps before Stankowski, who started fifth, slipped underneath Bell on lap five to take over the top spot. The pair thrilled the crowd over the next several circuits as Stankowski committed to the bottom groove while Bell ripped the cushion around the top side. A caution on lap six for a stalled Dustin White machine tightened the field and allowed Ryan Glembin to enter the battle for the lead as he moved into second at the halfway mark. Micah Lavrenz: Finding Home, Family, and Racing in Burt

Herrera and Raynard Capture 2026 Tougher Than Dirt Tour Titles

(June 12, 2026) — Consistency proved just as valuable as race wins during the 2026 T&A Tong and Indicator Tougher Than Dirt Tour presented by Schatz Performance, as Payce Herrera and Diezel Raynard emerged with championships after five nights of competition across North Dakota and Saskatchewan. Payce Herrera of Price, Utah, claimed the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod title by just four points.
