Knight shines in Lincoln County stop for URSS 

Tyler Knight became the seventh different winner in as many United Rebel Sprint Series evets this season Saturday at Lincoln County Raceway.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (July 7) – Tyler Knight took advantage of his front row starting position and held off Zach Chappell to claim the United Rebel Sprint Series’ first and only appearance of the season at Lincoln County Raceway on Saturday.

Knight and Chappell started on the front row for the 20-lap Ron Williams/Dick “Snoose” Myers Memorial feature for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars. Knight got the jump on Chappell as Zach Blurton, Jed Werner and Ty Williams gave chase.

Chappell tried to keep pace with the leader but Knight went on to claim his first series victory of the season and become the seventh different series feature winner in as many events. Chappell came home second while Blurton settled for third. Coby Pearce was fourth while Werner rounded out the top five.

Shane Sundquist started the night’s feature finale 15th and advanced eight spots to earn the Keizer Aluminum Wheels hard charger award.
