Eagle Raceway primed for sixth annual IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Nationals

EAGLE, Neb. – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car teams from across the country will head to Eagle Raceway for the Aug. 30-Sept. 2 RaceSaver Nationals.

The sixth annual event concludes with a $2,500 to win, $1,250 to start main event. Entries are again expected to surpass the 100 mark for the biggest RaceSaver show of the season.

“The growth of not only the RaceSaver division itself but the participation at RaceSaver Nationals is something to behold,” said Eagle Promoter Roger Hadan. “The car count continues to surpass any other Sprint Car race in the country and the number of fans who come to America’s Home Track every Labor Day Weekend grows annually as well.”

Drivers can go to the www.eagleraceway.com website to pre-register and receive a free, reserved pit stall now, at a cost of $15. Registration after Aug. 23 is $50 and does not include a pit stall.

All RaceSaver Nationals drivers must be licensed IMCA members and are required to have competed at a minimum of three IMCA sanctioned RaceSaver events prior to the Labor Day Weekend.

Qualifying features on Aug. 30 and Sept. 1 both pay $700 to win while the top prize for Saturday’s Jake Ita Memorial race is $1,000.

Tech inspection starts at 9 a.m. Thursday. An open practice starts at 6 p.m. and precedes race of champions qualifying.

The front nine cars qualify on Friday. Rows four through six will be set on Saturday before the Jake Ita Memorial Race of Champions main event.

Sunday starts with an 11 a.m. dodgeball tournament benefitting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Last-chance features complete the feature field of 27 with the IMCA Sprint Car RaceSaver Nationals main event to follow.

Pit passes are $15 on Thursday and $25 each night Friday & Saturday. Sunday pit passes are $30. Discounted 3 day pit passes are available for $75.

Adult grandstand admission is $13 on Friday, $15 on Satur­day and $18 on Sunday. Kids ages 6-12 are $5 and five and under get in free each night.

A three-day grandstand pass is $40 and can be purchased online or by calling the Eagle Raceway office at 402 238-2595.

RaceSaver Nationals is presented by Precise Racing Products.

Also on the weekend card will be IMCA Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts. Pre-registration is not required in any of those divisions.

Grabouski is double winner at Eagle

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (May 14, 2022) – Jordan Grabouski had the fans on their feet on Junior Fan Club Night at Eagle Raceway. Grabouski won both Friesen Performance IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car features at America’s Home Track. Terry Hurt and then Norm Ziegenbein paced the Modified main as Grabouski worked his way to third, then to the front spot on lap six. Runner-up was Jaxon Saathoff and Clint Homan ran the last 10 circuits in third.  Grabouski worked his way to the lead with nine laps to go in the Stock Car headliner, winning ahead of Mike Nichols and Kyle Vanover.  Stuart Snyder’s steady march through the field was rewarded with the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car checkers. Ryan Gilland led the last six times around the oval in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature while Adam Armstrong was scored first the last seven circuits of the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod main.

Saturday night Eagle win is first of season for Jackson

(July 16, 2022) – A rough start led to a perfect ending for Tyler Jackson.  Jackson won his first IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature of the season at Eagle Raceway Saturday night ahead of national points leader Dillon Richards.  “I got kind of a rough start at the beginning of the feature. I got into another car. I didn’t mean to do it and I apologized to him a couple of times,” Jackson said post-race. “After that, the car was perfect, I just had to be sure I kept it perfect.”  Ryan Gilland, Drew Barry and Michael Hansen completed the top five.  Bob Zoubek hit his marks in winning the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature. Densberger scores Eagle IMCA Modified win

(July 24) – Although the heat index cleared 100 Saturday night, a good-sized crowd showed up to brave the temperatures at Eagle Raceway as Modern Real Estate and Empire Fencing and Netting presented Fan With A Can night. Double features were run since the previous week’s were interrupted by rain. A restart with two laps left opened the door for Mike Densberger in the scheduled IMCA Modified main event. “It’s been too long coming.
