EAGLE, Neb. (June 9) – Nick Beckman grabbed the lead on lap two and held off all challengers in win­ning Saturday’s Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stock feature at Eagle Raceway.

“I’d say it’s been four years since I’ve been on the front stretch here. It feels really good to be back in a Hobby Stock,” he said. “I knew I had to get out front and run away. I’m just glad that I was able to hold off all of the fast drivers.”

Scott Bivens got the lead on the 11th circuit in winning the Hoosier Racing Tire IMCA Northern SportMod main. Likewise, it had been a while since he’d been to victory lane at Eagle.

“It’s been a year and a half since my last win, at least,” Bivens said post-race. “But we just keep chugging along. We’re getting faster this year, so maybe we’ll do this some more.”

Already on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, Jordan Grabouski earned $1,000 for his fifth Runner Freight IMCA Modified feature win of 2018.

Tenth starting Mike Boston won for the first time this season at Eagle in the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars and Tommy Etherton raced from sixth starting to earn his first ATV IMCA Sport Compact victory of the season.

Most dirt tracks would have cancelled the show when they got a 20-minute rain shower during hot laps, but the Eagle Raceway track prep crew saved the racing surface so the crowd and the 151 teams that towed to compete could enjoy Color Me Lucky Night, presented by Runner Freight and Accelerated GraphX.

New bleachers, water balloons, Sprint Cars all part of IMCA RaceSaver Nationals

EAGLE, Neb. – New bleachers and water balloons lead up to the ninth annual IMCA RaceSaver Nationals. One hundred and eight drivers from 16 states have already signed on to compete at the Sept. 2-5 Sprint Car spectacular at Eagle Raceway, to be broadcast by IMCA.TV.  Twenty-seven cars will start the Sunday, Sept. 5 main event, with the winner earning $3,000 plus a $1,500 bonus from IMCA if they have made at least one sanctioned start coming into the weekend. The finale pays a minimum of $1,500 to start.  New bleacher seating, designated as ‘The Party Section’, for another 2,500 fans will be in place at the top of turn four. Danley races to RaceSaver Sprint checkers at Eagle

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (June 23) – Joey Danley became the first repeat IMCA Sprint RaceSaver Sprint Car winner of the season at Eagle Raceway Saturday night. Danley snagged the lead near midway and beat Trevor Grossenbacher to the checkers. “After two rough weeks we got it done again and that feels pretty good. The track was tacky and rough. It was a ‘Cowboy Up’ track, and that’s what we like because it puts the race in the hands of the driver,” Dan­ley said. “We started eighth and ran up to the front quick, but a couple of cars got crossed up there and Trevor got by me. Hiatt hauls home opening night hardware, Grabouski gets two Saturday wins at Eagle 

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (April 20-21) – Defending track champion Shane Hiatt raced his way to victory lane on opening night of Eagle Raceway’s Ice Breaker Challenge. Former track champion Jordan Grabouski accomplished the feat twice on night two. Hiatt earned $1,000 and a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth along with Friday’s IMCA Modified main event. Grabouski, already on the ballot, was best in Saturday’s $2,000 to win head­liner and pocketed another $500 for winning the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature. The leader from the drop of the Friday night green, Hiatt ran ahead of Mike Densberger much of the distance before his challenger pulled into the infield with five circuits left. After a couple late restarts, Hunter Marriott wrestled the second spot from Grabouski. Dylan Smith and Eddie Belec completed the top five. Saturday featured another field filled with heavy hitters as Grabouski had to take the front spot away from Marriott and hold on.
