LaCrosse leads the way at Luxemburg

LUXEMBURG, Wis. (May 19) – A total of 111 cars packed the pit area for a rare Saturday night shootout at Luxemburg Speedway.

Benji LaCrosse dominated the IMCA Modified main, leading all 20 laps from his front row starting spot en route to the $700 top prize. Brad Theys had a solid run to place second.

Kyle Resch paced the opening circuits of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main event until 2017 street stock champ Paul Diefenthaler raced by on lap five. Midway through the contest Luke Lem­mens began work the low groove, closing in on the Diefenthaler. With two laps remaining Lem­mens made his move, working past Diefenthaler for the top to secure a $500 payday.

In Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod action it was Todd Wiese taking the lead from Vince Enge­bregtsen midway through the feature. Once out front, Wiese never looked back, scoring the win.

Mike Meier was victorious in the Mach-1 Sport Compact main.
