Ryland Roars Back to Victory Lane at Antioch

By Candice Martin ANTIOCH, Calif. (Apr. 25, 2026) — Fred Ryland of Brentwood scored the victory in the 20-lap Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main event at Antioch Speedway. The reigning champion finished third in the season opener but rebounded by winning both the feature and the eight-lap heat race. Ryland bolted into the lead at the start ahead of Antioch’s Todd Gomez and Troy Foulger of Oakley. He quickly built a comfortable advantage while Gomez and Foulger battled for second. The only caution of the race came on lap 19 when fourth-running Jason Robles of Rio Vista slowed. Ryland was strong on the restart and went on to capture his first Sunoco IMCA Stock Car win of 2026 in the EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region. Gomez finished second, while Kenneth Robles of Rio Vista made a high move in turn 2 on the final lap to take third from Foulger. Justin Villanueva of Atwater rounded out the top five.

14-Year-Old Lancaster Cruises to Breakthrough Sport Compact Victory at Cottage Grove

By Ben Deatherage COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (Apr. 25, 2026) — The 2026 season opener at Cottage Grove Speedway featured 14-year-old Rowen Lancaster of Eugene turning in a remarkable performance in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts, dominating the 20-lap feature to score his first career victory in his division debut. Lancaster wasted little time establishing himself as the driver to beat, leading the opening lap before a caution on lap three slowed the pace. On the restart, he quickly separated from the field and began building a commanding advantage. By the midway point, Lancaster had constructed a sizable lead and showed no signs of slowing, even after encountering lapped traffic on lap nine. Smooth and consistent, he maintained his pace throughout the remainder of the race. At the checkered flag, Lancaster crossed the line with a margin of victory exceeding seven seconds, completing a wire-to-wire effort in impressive fashion. Eric Cooper finished second, while defending track champion Dusten Henderson charged from 15th to third. Charles Trissell and 2024 Oregon State champion Burnie Bryant completed the top five. Olson Outduels Oliver in Benton County Stock Car Opener

By Christine Rublack Vinton, Iowa (Apr. 26, 2026) — A stellar field of cars put on a show at The Bullring for opening night at Benton County Speedway as Kyle Olson held off a hard-charging John Oliver Jr. to win the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature. Olson and Oliver quickly distanced themselves from the field. Kevin Rose moved into third as the leaders approached lapped traffic, while Johnathon Logue worked into fourth as the laps wound down. Olson took the checkers for his first win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, followed by Oliver, Logue, Rose, and Nathan Ballard. From the middle of the field, Kollin Hibdon raced to victory in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds. Owen Barnhill took charge early as Hibdon worked the low line to advance through the field. Hibdon moved into the lead as Troy Cordes and Troy Morris III battled for third. With five laps to go, Hibdon extended his advantage while Cordes moved into second. Hibdon scored his second win of the season in the Razor [Read More]
