JEFFERSON, S.D. – The fourth annual Iron Cup presented by J&J Fitting will be held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 15 and 16 at Park Jefferson Speedway.
On Thursday, the track will host a test and tune session that incorporates makeup features in the Schaeffer Oil IMCA Northern Sport Modifieds, J&J Fitting IMCA Stock Cars and the SignMasters IMCA Modified divisions.
These features will award Allstar Performance State, regional and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National points. The races will be made up from the Aug. 19 event that was rained out. Drivers in any class can also take advantage of the test session. Grandstand admission will be free and pit passes are $10. There will be a buy-in option to the feature events for drivers who did not qualify on Aug. 19.
On Friday, all six IMCA divisions including the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars will be joined by the Nebraska Modified Lites in a full night of racing.
Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Modifieds, Sprint Cars and Stock Cars all pay $500 to win, SportMods and Hobby Stocks pay $400 to win and Sport Compacts $100 to win.
Adult tickets are $15, seniors $10 and children ages 6-16 $5 with children five and under free. Pit passes are $30. National, regional and state points will be on the line for all IMCA divisions.
On Saturday, Park Jefferson will host the same six IMCA divisions along with the final visit by the Nebraska 360 vs MSTS shootout. Modifieds, Sprint Cars and Stock Cars all pay $1,000 to win, SportMods and Hobby Stocks pay $700 to win and Sport Compacts $300 to win.
Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing slated for 6 p.m. Adult tickets are $15, seniors $10 and children ages 6-16 $5 with children under five getting in free. Pit passes are $30. National, regional and state points will be on the line for all 6 IMCA divisions.
Drivers can register now through the www.parkjeff.com website. Registration is non-refundable. Payment will not be due until Friday, Sept. 15.
