PEYTON, Colo. (July 28) – The BST CAT Tour for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars travels around Colorado to three different dirt tracks, El Paso County Raceway in Calhan, Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke and I-76 Speedway in Fort Morgan.

The new kid on the block is Lonnie Cox, who previously raced in Arizona and is only one point away from Wyoming’s favorite Sprint Car racer, Zac Taylor.

Cox has taken a win at El Paso County Raceway and a second at Phillips County Raceway behind Darin Berry, a Nebraska favorite, while Taylor has taken two wins at I-76 Speedway.

Currently, Taylor leads in points at 152 but Cox is right behind at 151. During the July 21 tour heat races at El Paso County Raceway, Cox got into the wall and Taylor came in third.  Lineups looked good for the young Taylor, however the event rainout before the feature race started.

The BST CAT Tour has two doubleheaders to finish out the season, first at El Paso County Raceway on Aug. 12 and 13. The second doubleheader is at Phillips County Raceway on Sept. 29 and 30.

Rounding out the top five in points for the BST CAT Tour are Todd Pudwill in third, Ryan Ellinger in fourth and Nic Sutton in fifth. Fans can expect exciting Sprint Car racing action between these competitors.
