LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (July 22) – Ken Schrader still displays the victory lane check he received after winning the feature in his first visit to I-30 Speedway nine years ago.

Now he’ll be able to show off a second such memento.

Schrader topped a who’s who field of IMCA Modifieds in winning Saturday night’s Ed Jordan Memorial and $2,500 at Little Rock. He led all 30 laps after starting from the pole and took the checkers ahead of a fast-closing Jeff Taylor.

“I looked around and there were a lot of cars I knew,” the 2018 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier said. “I was concerned when we drew last in our heat but it was one of those nights when things worked out.”

“The track was good,” he added. “You could run all over it.”

Schrader had caught up to the back of the field but a couple cautions late in the contest kept lapped traffic from becoming an issue.

Taylor had started ninth. Tyler Stevens, defending race winner Curtis Cook and Drew Armstrong completed the top five.
