JEFFERSON, S.D. (June 24) – Saturday’s SignMasters IMCA Modified division saw Jay Noteboom put another notch in the belt between himself and Ron Luitjens as he picked up win number 52 for his career at Park Jefferson Speedway.
Noteboom currently sits second in overall feature wins in all divisions at 68, just five behind Joe Kosiski. Bob Moore had strong run to second and Jason Schneiders turned in a strong third place finish.
The IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars were once again a quick an easy win by Colin Smith.
In the Schaeffer Oil IMCA Northern SportMods, veteran Rusty Montagne was again the feature winner. Montagne, like Noteboom, is slowly creeping up the all-time win charts at Park Jefferson, and did so at the expense of Todd Boulware and Karl Brewer, the 2016 kings of the division.
Paul Menard put a stop to the Hoffman Train as the 16D was able to cruise to the top spot and keep Andy Hoffman from another IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock victory lane interview.
The Fox 620 IMCA Sport Compacts saw Tyler Thompson record another win, holding off Jake Newsom and Luke Jackson.
Park Jefferson is closed this week for the Saturdays in the Park event hosted in Sioux City. Racing will resume on July 8 with Pepsi Night.
