Mother Nature wins again at Davenport 

DAVENPORT, Iowa (May 26) – The IMCA Modified Madness 50 special, scheduled for tonight (Friday) at Davenport Speedway, has been rained out for a second time.

The event has now been rescheduled for Friday, July 14.

Next Friday, June 2, weekly point racing returns to Davenport Speedway. All four classes will be in action, the Petersen Plumbing & Heating IMCA Late Models, Eriksen Chevrolet IMCA Modi­fieds, Koehler Electric Street Stocks and the Hawkeye Auto IMCA Northern SportMods.

In addition, that evening is the first Kids’ Night of 2017. Children under the age of 12 are admitted free when accompanying a paid adult. Bike races will be held during intermission.

Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street in Davenport. Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m., with hot laps at 6:15 p.m. and racing at 6:45 p.m.
