HO’T Memorial Weekend special boasts $3,000 to win IMCA Hobby Stock feature 

ELM MOTT, Texas – One of the top-paying IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock events of the season is on tap for Sunday, May 28, when Heart O’ Texas Speedway hosts its Texas Shootout special.

A minimum of $100 will be paid to start that feature and entry fee is $35. The winner also gets their registration paid for at Abilene Speedway’s Southern Challenge this fall.

Completing the Memorial Weekend card are $1,000 to win features for IMCA Modifieds and the Texas Sprint Series, and $500 to win features for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods.

The Modified feature is a qualifier for the 2017 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. All applicable points, including local track, will be awarded.

Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, military and students ages 13-18, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under. Pit passes are $35.

The Wall of Fame induction ceremony begins at 2 p.m. Pit gates and the grandstand both open at 5 p.m., hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
