MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (May 12) – The top side of the oval took Todd Reitzler to his first IMCA Sunoco Stock Car victory at Marshalltown Speedway.

Damon Murty looked destined to take home another win as he led the Friday feature from the drop of the green. However, Reitzler, decided to dust off the top side of the track, where no one else was venturing, and he made it work.

The final few laps saw Reitzler reel in the leader and burst past Murty for the win. Murty had to be content with second, while third went to Steve Meyer.

Eric Elliott won the IMCA Modified 20-lap feature, his first local checkers since last May.  Elliott started seventh and took the lead just before halfway point of the race.

Todd Cooney prevailed in a tight three-way battle with Darrel DeFrance and Justin Mitchell to win the 20-lap feature for IMCA Late Models.

Fifth starting Bill Bonnett had the lead on lap two and captured the win in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks.

Travis Peterson took his first win of the season in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod division in a close fought 18-lap battle throughout the field. Peterson fought past Ryan King to take the lead with just a lap remaining.
