INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (May 13) – Ben Seemann hit pay dirt with his career first IMCA Late Model win Saturday at Independence Motor Speedway.

Seemann jumped out to an early lead but Ryan Dolan was closing in during the closing stages of the Budweiser IMCA Late Model feature event. Dolan ran out of time, however, and settled for second while Rory Metcalf came home third.

Darin Duffy returned to his winning ways when he was first to the finish line in the Performance Bodies IMCA Modified main. Duffy saw a huge lead erased with a late-race caution but was not to be denied. Adam Johnson and Jason Morehouse completed the top three.

Cole Mather held off a hard-charging Paul Shepherd in the caution-free Burco Sales IMCA Stock Car main event. Norman Chesmore and Roger Ciesielski staged a great battle for third which eventually went to Chesmore.

In a race that featured five challengers for the win, Shawn Kuennen scored the win in the Christie Door Co. IMCA Hobby Stock feature.

Kuennen had to fend of challenges from August Bach, Benji Irvine, Brett Vanous and Quinton Miller. The front five were two- and three-wide during the closing laps before Kuennen edged Bach by a bumper

Irvine, Vanous and Miller finished third through fifth, respectively, just a few car lengths behind.

It was Olson and Olson finishing one-two during the Albert Auto IMCA Northern SportMod main. Tony Olson was first followed by Kyle Olson. Lucas Lundry finished third.
