Canyon ready to roll for kids’ bike giveaway night

PEORIA, Ariz. – After a small break in action, Canyon Speedway Park fires back up on Saturday, May 20 with the Kids’ Bike Giveaway Night. IMCA Modifieds will be returning to the speedway along with the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks.

Chaz Baca Jr. has dominated the IMCA Modified class at Canyon in 2017. In the six point races, Baca has picked up four wins and finished second in the other two feature events. Guy Norton and John Parmeley claimed the other feature wins this season.

George Fronsman has owned the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car season as he leads the way in the point standings.

The IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks have put on some fantastic races this season and Merle Zachrison continues to lead the standings, although he has yet to claim a main event.

At intermission, more than 20 bicycles will be given away to children ages 11 and under.

Admission prices for the Kids Bike Giveaway Night are $15 for adults. Seniors (60-plus) and military are $12 and children 11 and under are free. All-access pit passes can be purchased for $35 for adults, while ages 7-11 are $20 and six and under are free.

All minors under the age of 18 must have a minor release form filled out and notarized prior to entry into the pits. The form can be found on the track website.
