Abelson Scores First Win of Season at Park Jefferson

(July 31, 2026) — Chris Abelson took advantage of a mid-race break to collect his first Razor Chassis North Central Region victory of the season Friday night in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature at Park Jefferson Speedway. Jesse Patterson led the opening laps before Jimmy Cole charged around the outside to take command. Cole appeared headed for victory until he jumped the cushion exiting turn two midway through the 20-lap main event, bringing out the caution. That handed the lead to Abelson, who had worked his way forward from eighth on the starting grid. The Sioux City, Iowa, driver took full advantage, driving away over the closing laps for the win. Duke Erickson advanced from 10th to finish second and earn hard charger honors, while Greg Taylor climbed from 11th to third. Patterson held on for fourth, and R.J. Merchant completed the top five. Serbus Scores Huset’s Speedway Sprint Car Victory

By Ben Deatherage BRANDON, S.D. (Aug. 2, 2026) — Trevor Serbus charged to the lead on lap three and never looked back, capturing Sunday night’s RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature at Huset’s Speedway. The Olivia, Minnesota driver took over the top spot from Dillon Bickett on the third circuit of the 20-lap contest and controlled the remainder of the race. A caution with roughly one-third of the race remaining erased his advantage, but Serbus executed a flawless restart and steadily rebuilt his lead over the closing laps. The victory was Serbus’ third of the season, with each of his wins coming at a different racetrack. Michalob Voeltz crossed the stripe second, while early leader Bickett completed the podium in third. Corbin Erickson finished fourth, and Braden Ockenga rounded out the top five. Serbus, Logan Moore, Bickett, and Gracyn Masur each won heat races, while Aydin Lloyd captured the B Main.

Mackenthun’s Milestone Headlines Arlington Fair Night

(Aug. 1, 2026) — Dan Mackenthun reached a milestone Saturday night at Arlington Raceway, charging from 11th to score his 200th career feature victory in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main event during the Sibley County Fair. Three different drivers occupied the top spot in the 20-lap feature. A.J. Zimmerman led the early laps before a series of cautions forced him to the pit area. David Moriarty inherited the lead, but Mackenthun and Matt Looft quickly worked their way to the front and battled over the closing laps. Mackenthun held off Looft to secure the historic victory. The Hamburg driver earned his ninth EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of the season and fourth at Arlington Raceway in 2026.
