Shute Outduels Field in Boone Modified Make-Up Feature

By Jane Burd BOONE, Iowa (May 23, 2026) — Boone Speedway completed a full slate of make-up features from the rain-shortened May 16 program on Saturday night, highlighted by Todd Shute charging from seventh starting position to capture the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature. Shute resumed the postponed event already near the front after racing was halted the previous Saturday due to rain. Nick Meyer paced the opening lap once competition resumed, but Shute quickly took control on lap two and never relinquished the lead the rest of the way. The Norwalk driver raced from seventh starting position to score his seventh Razor Chassis North Central Region victory of the season and second Boone Speedway triumph of 2026. Jake McBernie charged ahead nine positions to finish second while Meyer settled for third. Stankowski Holds Off Late Charges for Eagle River Stock Car Victory

(May 23, 2026) — Wausau’s Mitch Stankowski fought off a late-race charge from a trio of veterans to earn a hard-fought Sunoco IMCA Stock Car victory at Eagle River Speedway. Hometown driver Trentin Bell led the opening four laps before Stankowski, who started fifth, slipped underneath Bell on lap five to take over the top spot. The pair thrilled the crowd over the next several circuits as Stankowski committed to the bottom groove while Bell ripped the cushion around the top side. A caution on lap six for a stalled Dustin White machine tightened the field and allowed Ryan Glembin to enter the battle for the lead as he moved into second at the halfway mark. Nielsen Survives Wild Hobby Stock Feature at Algona for First Win of 2026

By Greg Grabianowski ALGONA, Iowa (May 21, 2026) — The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks stole the spotlight during another action-packed night at Kossuth County Speedway as Brandon Nielsen survived a caution-filled 28-car feature to earn his first B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region victory of the season. The Hobby Stock feature required a complete restart after a multi-car pileup in turn one. Derrick Barglof paced the early laps before another caution flew on lap three when Brett Doege lost his nose cone. Spencer’s Nielsen powered into the lead one lap later and remained unfazed through caution flags on laps five, eight, nine, and 13 to secure the victory after starting 10th. Last week’s winner Nathan DaRagon finished second while Josh Sidles turned in one of the drives of the night, charging from 26th to third.
