BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 8) – The biggest event in dirt track racing just keeps getting bigger as a record 906 cars have now competed at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.
Thirty-three Late Models are at Boone Speedway for tonight’s Deery Brothers Summer Series event while one more Modified was entered in the Thursday night program, bringing that division total to 260.
Other numbers by division are 191 Stock Cars, 124 Hobby Stocks, 181 Northern SportMods, 84 Sport Compacts and 33 Southern SportMods.
The previous record of 876 was set last year. Super Nationals has boasted car counts of better than 800 every year since 2008.
