NORFOLK, Neb. (Aug. 27) – Plenty of action could be found on the track Saturday at Off Road Speedway, starting with Shannon Pospisil’s Mach-1 Sport Compact win.
Pospisil moved into the lead during the third lap while coming out of turn four and survived a green, white, checkered finish following the race’s only caution.
Ramsey Meyer, who finished second to Pospisil Thursday in Columbus, did so again Saturday night while Codie Mielke took third.
Norfolk Catholic High School senior Gage Koch won for the second time in his career, leading all 15 laps of the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature.
Koch, who began racing junior hornets at the age of 12, got his first Hobby Stock win last season, said he “liked the high side tonight, and the car was set up perfect for it … it just felt really good.”
Jim Kimmel and TeJay Mielke finished in second- and third-place, respectively.
Chad Bruns added a seventh win to his Off Road Speedway total, leading all but three of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature’s 15 laps.
Meanwhile, Preston Janzing took second place in his first action at Off Road Speedway ahead of Fred DeSive.
Kyle Prauner notched his 10th Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod win of the season at Off Road Speedway. Colby Langenberg and Eric Haase finished second and third, respectively.
