LEXINGTON, Neb. (Aug. 28) – Colton Osborn got the best of his Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified foes on season championship night Sunday at Lexington Raceway.

Osborn and Anthony Roth were in a see-saw battle during the early laps. Osborn was able to gain a little breathing room and never looked back to earn the main event victory. Roth was the runner-up while Scott Smith ended in third.

Cole Egge finally punched through for a feature win in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod division. Egge has led the most laps in numerous features this season but it was on the final night of competition that that young gun was able to lead all of the circuits to capture his first win in the division after starting on the outside of the first row.

National championship contender Daniel Gottschalk did everything he could in hopes of catching Egge but was forced to settle for second. Steve Kempt scored the third place finish.

Leading from start to finish was Mike Nichols for his 56th IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win of the season. Nichols worked his way to big leads on every re-start to score the victory. Casey Werkmeister was second and third was Bob Chalupa.

Starting up front and staying out of trouble to earn the win was Luke Wassom in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Wassom led all 20 laps. Jacob Wolsleben and Travis Kernick completed the top three.
