EAGLE, Neb. (Aug. 27) – Championship Night at Eagle Raceway saw five-year class veteran Dana Deeke win his first local NAPA IMCA Northern SportMod main event.
“The track tonight, with the corrections we made, had me very good tonight,” he said. “It was nice and smooth. I really enjoy racing here. The competition is always great.”
R.J. Maas was also a first-time winner at Eagle, in the Mountain Dew Kick Start IMCA Sport Compacts.
“Finally! We had a good track tonight, nice and tacky,” the outside row four starter said. “It was amazing. I started moving up, then when I got to third I started to reel in the 11H (Nick Morris). When he dropped out I started checking the scoreboard to see how many laps were left.”
Dustin Andersen topped another Kaplan University IMCA Modified feature. Jason Martin started 12th and finished first in the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature.
Chad Fegley was first across the stripe in the Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stock main event.
