SHAWANO, Wis. (Aug. 27) – A big crowd of fans and competitors were on hand for Seubert Calf Ranches and Charter Communications Saturday at Shawano Speedway.
Sixteen-year-old Konnor Wilinski scored his second straight and third overall Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified feature win. Travis Van Straten outdueled Brandon Czarapata to win his 10th local IMCA Stock Car feature. Lucas Lamberies made a last-lap pass on Wyatt Block for his seventh Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod win.
Wilinski ran three wide with Shawn Frelich and Marcus Yarie before gaining the Modified lead on lap 12. Yarie took a look outside on the final circuit but Wilinski was not to be denied.
The third different leader, Van Straten ran the last five laps with 15th staring Brandon Czarapata on his back bumper.
Block led most of the distance in the SportMod main before relinquishing the front spot to Lamberies.
