Osborn, Gottschalk among Lexington winners

LEXINGTON, Neb. (Aug. 7) – With limited time remaining in the regular season, every point matters that much more and the fierce competition showcased at Lexington Raceway on Sunday evening was evident of the neck-and-neck battles throughout the evening on the Dawson County Fairgrounds.

Leading from the onset and never looking back was Colton Osborn as he put on a dominating performance to win the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified feature. Osborn piloted his hot rod to the lead on the first lap and led all 20 laps of the feature event.

The laps that matter the most were led by Daniel Gottschalk in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature. Gottschalk led the final two laps to earn the feature victory.

Battling against a dry-slick track that had been used and abused for five feature events, Mike Nichols was able to garner the lead for the final six laps to claim the checkers in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature.

Hitting all his marks on the final laps during the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature event was Travis Kernick as he notched the victory.
