Luinenburg rules at Arlington

ARLINGTON, Minn. (July 30) – Defending national champion Justin Luinenburg showed the way to the finish line in Saturday’s Premier Logistics IMCA Hobby Stock feature at Arlington Raceway.

Twenty-two cars comprised the starting field. At the drop of the green flag unlucky 13th starting Ben Peterson got sideways and hit the front wall, then got air and rode the wall until it ended and landed sideways. His car was in tough shape as he departed on the hook.

When the race was restarted, Corey Schultz took the lead ahead of Shawn Harms. Luinenburg, who started 10th, used a restart to his advantage and dove in front of Schultz to take the lead and remain in front the next five laps to win the race.

Schultz held onto second as Corey Probst took third ahead of Shawn Harms.

Tyler Limoges topped the MN93 IMCA Modifieds and Trevor Serbus scored the 95.7 The Rock IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car checkers.

Another defending national champ, Nate Coopman, was the Coors Light IMCA Sport Compact winner.

Brent Uecker was the B & B Racing Chassis IMCA Sunoco Stock Car winner. Jeff Lloyd won his second consecutive feature in the Unhinged Pizza IMCA Northern SportMod division.

There were 125 cars signed in for Vetter Sales & Service Night.
