Blurton thunders to URSS win at Lincoln County

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (July 9) – Feeling the thunder and getting to see the lightning was the packed house of race fans that assembled at Lincoln County Raceway as the URSS Sprint Cars joined forces with the IMCA competitors that call Lincoln County Raceway their Saturday night home.

Leading the way from the onset, Zach Blurton piloted his rocket ship to the URSS victory. Blurton grabbed the lead early and never looked back to cruise to the winner’s circle in the 30-lapper. Luke Cranston settled for runner-up honors and Ty Williams crossed the line in third.

Cole Hodges grabbed the lead on the second circuit and led to the end of the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified feature.

Kyle Werkmeister was the green to checkered leader in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature.

Jamey Kennicutt captured the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod checkers and Brady Weinman was promoted to the top spot in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock headliner. First in the Mach-1 Sport Compact main went to Andrew Baumgardner.
