Stien sprints to Arlington checkers

ARLINGTON, Minn. (June 18) – Michael Stien was the second and final leader in Saturday’s 95.7 the Rock IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature.

Justin Allen was the early frontrunner until a yellow came out on lap five. On the restart, the sev­enth starting Stien got by for the lead. Allen stayed right on his tail throughout the race to take second and Jesse Cripe was third.

A late caution gave Clint Hatlestad the chance he was waiting for as he passed Tyler Limoges on the last lap to win the MN 93 IMCA Modified main. Limoges was the runner-up while Tyler Mecl of Ari­zona took third from his 12th place start.

Dan Mackenthun edged past Jeff McCollum on lap 11 to take the B & B Racing Chassis IMCA Stock Car lead with Ken Tietz alongside. In the end, Mackenthun won with Tietz taking second ahead of McCollum.

The Premier Logistics IMCA Hobby Stocks saw a repeat winner as Cory Probst worked his way to the front from 10th starting. Matt Olson and Brian Loscheider rounded out the top three.

Kris Zuhlsdorf started 11th and prevailed in the caution-marred Unhinged Pizza IMCA Northern SportMod feature. Tim Bergerson was second and third was Tony Rialson.

The Coors Light IMCA Sport Compacts saw a repeat feature winner in Kyren Porter. She ran se­cond for the duration of the laps and was promoted to first when the apparent winner was disquali­fied in post-race tech. Taking second was Alan Lahr and third went to Scott Porter.
