NORFOLK, Neb. – Drivers in four IMCA divisions compete at as many Nebraska venues over the course of the eight-date Summer Storm Dirt Series.
The second annual series for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts opens Saturday, May 7 at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk.
IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Allstar Performance State and local track points, but no champions’ bonus points will be awarded.
No registration fees will be charged. There are no point fund for the series, designed to encourage drivers to travel to the different tracks, but trophies and contingencies will be given. All shows will be draw/redraw.
Rain date for the opening night program is May 14.
Other series dates are Fridays, May 27 and June 24 at Boone County Raceway in Albion (rain dates are June 3 and July 1); Sundays, May 29 and July 10 at Stuart Raceway (rain dates are June 5 and July 17); Thursdays, July 2 and July 21 at US 30 Speedway in Colmbus (rain dates are June 9 and July 28); and Saturday, Aug. 13 at Off Road (rain date is Aug. 20).
Racing starts at 7 p.m. at Norfolk and Stuart, and at 8 p.m. at Albion and Columbus.
