Performance Bodies program benefits seven IMCA divisions, Deery drivers

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Performance Bodies adds more awards to an already generous program for drivers in seven IMCA divisions.

The Cedar Falls, Iowa, high performance automotive parts retailer and race car body manufacturer gives more than $20,000 worth of product awards and gift cards in its 34th season as an IMCA marketing partner.

“I am proud to be associated with IMCA and its efforts to provide fun and affordable racing,” said Performance Bodies President Scott Braun. “I can personally remember many of the first IMCA Modifieds and working with Jack Mitchell when we gutted a steel body off a Vega. Getting to be part of this industry is truly a blessing.”

Notably, Performance Bodies also returns to national decal programs for both the Modified and Hobby Stock divisions and as primary sponsor of rookie of the year programs for Hobby Stocks and SportMods.

New in the Performance Bodies program for 2016 is an MD3 Mod valance and rocker panel kit or spruce-up special option for Modified, Northern SportMod and Southern SportMod award recipients.

Those drivers will include second through sixth place finishers in point standings and second through fourth place finishers in rookie standings in each of the five Modified regions; and second through sixth place finishers in national points and runners-up in rookie of the year standings for both SportMod divisions.

Top 10 drivers in the Deery Brothers Summer Series earn an MD3 Late Model nose, a pair of molded dirt fenders and headlight and valance package.

Top 10 finishers in both Stock Car regions, the top 10 in both Hobby Stock regions and national rookies of the year in both divisions get nosepiece and headlight decal kits.

And gift cards valued at $100, $50 and $50, respectively, go to the top three drivers in national Mach-1 Sport Compact point standings.

Modified and Hobby Stock drivers are required to display two Performance Bodies decals on their race car to be eligible for post-season prizes. Deadline for submitting rookie of the year applications is Aug. 1.

“The Performance Bodies program has as much depth as any program IMCA offers racers each and every year,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “We’re very proud to have the support of one of the most respected names in the racing industry and  advocate for racers nationwide to in turn support Performance Bodies.”
