SALINA, Kan. (April 1-2) – Another early-season special in Kansas ended with Jordan Grabouski headed home to Nebraska with two more Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified feature wins and a pair of $1,000 checks.

Grabouski swept Friday and Saturday feature events at Salina Speedway’s DirtFest, leading start to finish in 25-lap headliners both nights.

“We have drawn good and the car has been really good,” said Grabouski, also the winner both nights at RPM Speedway’s Sunflower Classic the weekend before. ”We’ve had a lot of fun the last couple weekends. Hopefully we can keep that up.”

Grabouski drew the outside row two start on opening night and the inside row two start on Saturday. Both features saw long green flag runs with Grabouski scored first every time around.

Tyler Frye chased the leader into lapped traffic in the Friday show but couldn’t make up ground and settled for second.

Corey Burch was third Friday and a distant second Saturday, when Justin Gregg completed the top three.

Kyle Vanover won both IMCA Sunoco Stock Car features and Daniel Gottschalk swept Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod mains.

Stock Car runners-up were Angel Munoz on Friday and Casey Woken on Saturday. Austin Carter took third both nights.

Zach McKinnon was second and Nelson Vollbrecht third in both SportMod shows.

IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock winners were Shannon Anderson and Jesse VanLaningham.

VanLaningham was second and Shay Simoneau third behind the 14th starting Anderson on opening night. Cody Williams and Dana Brandt completed Saturday’s top three.

One hundred-plus race teams competed at DirtFest.
