Raceway Park opens with April 8, 9 IMCA Spring Nationals

JEFFERSON, S.D. – There’s a $1,000 to win main event for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds and $2,000 in potential bonus money for four other sanctioned divisions at Raceway Park’s Friday and Saturday, April 8 and 9 Spring Nationals.

Saturday’s Modified feature is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event and pays a minimum of $100 to start.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Mach-1 Sport Compacts each night pay $500 to win. Any drivers in those divisions winning both nights earn a $500 Double Down bonus and go home with a total of $1,500 for their Spring Nationals efforts.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Re­gional and Allstar Performance State, but no local track points will be awarded both nights of the draw/redraw spe­cial.

Pit gates and the grandstand open at 5:30 p.m. Friday. Hot laps precede the 7 p.m. drivers’ meeting and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, pit gates and the grandstand open at 4:30 p.m., hot laps precede the 6 p.m. drivers’ meeting and rac­ing gets underway at 6:30 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and free for kids 10 and under. Pit passes are $25.

One-night entry fee is $50 for Modifieds, $40 for Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks and SportMods and $30 for Sport Compacts.

Entry fee for both nights is $65 for Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks and Northern SportMods, and $45 for Sport Compacts. No checks will be accepted at the track without prior ap­proval and RACEceivers are required in all divi­sions.

Free camping is available, without hookups, at the track. More information will be posted on the www.racewayparkinc.com website.
