MSD back on board in decal program for IMCA Stock Cars

EL PASO, Texas – MSD returns to the national decal program for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, in its 13th season as a marketing partner with the sanctioning body.

The El Paso, Texas, manufacturer and distributor became part of that program in 2015 and again gives $100 product certificates to top 10 drivers in final standings for the Northern and Southern regions.

Purchased last September by the Holley family of companies, MSD also continues a contingency awards program benefitting five divisions and the Deery Brothers Summer Series.

“IMCA racers are key to MSD’s continued growth and MSD believes in investing in IMCA. We do this by rewarding these racers who work all week to race on the weekend with a lucrative contingency program,” said MSD President Russell Stephens. “The Holley/MSD family of products are present on nearly every IMCA race car and the contingency program is a way for us to say thank you to the racers. Good luck all the IMCA racers as they kick off the 2016 race season.”

Top eligible drivers in each of the five Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified regions receive 6AL ignition control boxes and Blaster HVC coils; the runner-up gets a control box while third and fourth place drivers get universal spark plug wire sets and the fifth place driver receives a Blaster HVC coil.

The top drivers in each Stock Car regions get Ultimate HEI kits and a universal spark plug wire set. Runners-up receive a HEI module and the third place finishers get universal spark plug wire sets.

An 8728 Soft Touch rev control goes to the top eligible driver in the national Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods standings. Universal spark plug wire sets go to second and third place drivers in both divisions.

The top three eligible drivers in national point standings for IMCA Late Models and in Deery Series standings receive a digital 6AL ignition control box, spark plug wire set and Blaster HVC coil, and universal plug wire set, respectively.

Awards will be presented during the national banquet in November or mailed from the IMCA home office beginning in December.

Drivers in all five divisions must compete with MSD products and display two MSD decals on their race car.

Modified, Stock Car and SportMod drivers must complete and send sign-up forms to the IMCA home office by Aug. 1. Decal placement is also required for Stock Car drivers to be eligible for national and regional point fund shares.
