Karl Chevrolet, Karl Performance both return to key roles with IMCA Racing

ANKENY, Iowa – Both Karl Chevrolet and Karl Performance continue integral roles with IMCA Racing in 2016.

Karl Chevrolet, the new and pre-owned automotive dealership located in Ankeny, returns as title sponsor for the Northern SportMod division for an 11th consecutive season and will furnish part of the $9,500 point fund to be paid to top 10 drivers in final national standings.

More than 1,500 drivers competed in sanctioned Northern SportMod events held in 18 states last year.

Karl Performance, the Des Moines-based engine builder, Billy Moyer Victory Race Cars manufacturer and high performance parts retailer returns as sponsor of the heat winner decal program. This is Karl Performance’s 18th season as an IMCA marketing partner.

“IMCA racing is the core of our business here at Karl Performance,” Clint Quesinberry, the marketing director at Karl Performance commented. “Between Karl Chevrolet and Karl Performance, we are happy to give back and be involved with the sport that drives our business and are excited to have an impact in 2016 and beyond.”

Modified, Northern SportMod or Hobby Stock champions who win IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s titles with crate motors receive a new GM 604 or 602 crate from Karl Chevrolet. Drivers in any division winning with claim motors get engines from Karl Performance.

“Carl Moyer is one of the great ambassadors for dirt track racing in America and it’s really an honor to partner with him in so many endeavors,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder commented. “Renewing their commitment to not only our growing Northern SportMod division, but the engine program at Super Nationals is important for a variety of reasons.”

“The stability and generosity they’ve shown toward Super Nationals Champions is a cornerstone to our contingency award package and makes the post-race engine auction at Boone Speedway the most unique spectacle in motorsports,” concluded Yoder.

All Northern SportMod, Southern SportMod and Hobby Stock drivers must display two Karl Chevrolet decals on their race car to be eligible for point fund checks, which will be presented during the national awards banquet in November or mailed beginning the following week from the IMCA home office.

Karl Performance decals go to heat winners in all IMCA divisions at sanctioned events. Drivers winning at least 10 heat races and providing a photo of their car showing the affixed decals to IMCA receive a $50 product certificate.
