Razor banner raised again in IMCA South Central Region for Modifieds

PLATTE CENTER, Neb. – With both national and Super Nationals championships to its credit last season, Razor Chassis returns in 2016 as title sponsor of the South Central Region for IMCA Modifieds.

The Platte Center, Neb., chassis builder provides a portion of the $6,000 point fund to be paid to top 10 drivers in the region, which includes tracks in Texas and southern New Mexico, for the third consecutive year.

Chris Abelson won the IMCA Modified national crown while Clint Luellen topped the Northern SportMod main event on Razor Chassis rides in 2015.

“Razor has been a quality builder for a number of years now but really had a breakout year in 2015,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder noted. “They put three Northern SportMods on the front row at Super Nationals and won some of IMCA’s most recognized championships behind the strength of fast race cars and a team of exceptional drivers. I imagine they will build on that success in 2016.”

Razor also retails high performance parts and shared North Central Region honors in IMCA’s Manufacturer’s Cup contest each of the last two years.

All drivers must in the region must display two Razor Chassis decals on their race car to be eligible for point fund shares.

The top driver in official point standings earns $2,500. The runner-up gets $1,250 with $625 for third, $325 for fourth, $300 for fifth and $200 for sixth through 10th.
