Bittner Goes Wire-to-Wire at Hagerstown

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (May 16, 2026) — Timmy Bittner put together a flawless evening Saturday night at Hagerstown Speedway, sweeping the program and wiring the field in the multi-sanctioned RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature. Thirty-four RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars filled the pit area for the event, which was co-sanctioned by the River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series, Virginia Sprint Series, and Laurel Highlands Sprint Series. Bittner, from Beech Creek, Pennsylvania, opened the night by winning his heat race before earning the pole position for the 26-car main event. Once the green flag waved, the No. 01 machine never surrendered the top spot. Behind him, several drivers battled intensely for podium positions throughout the feature, including Logan Spahr, Colton Hendershot, and Kenny Heffner. Despite pressure from the contenders, Bittner remained composed and drove away to score his second victory of the 2026 season and first with any of the three touring series this year. Spahr charged from ninth starting position to finish second, while Heffner completed the podium in third. Hendershot crossed the stripe fourth ahead of Ryan [Read More]

Whiteaker Goes Back-To-Back at I-37 with STIMS Series

By Nick Robbins PLEASANTON, Texas (May 16, 2026) — The Southern Touring IMCA Modified Series presented by On Demand Shirts rolled into I-37 Speedway for its first appearance of the 2026 season. Fifteen Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds signed in for the $1,000-to-win main event at the racy South Texas bullring. DIY Equipment Sales and Rental Heat One saw pole starter “High Side” Brian Harbison lead early while battling with Cameron Dinsmore. As the pair raced off turn two, they left enough room for Chris Carroll to split the uprights down the back chute and take the win. Sundowner Performance Diesel Heat Two belonged to Cody Leonard, who led all eight laps to take the checkered flag. Carroll and Leonard led the field to the Rush Race Gear by Austin Witt Start Zone with Steven Whiteaker Jr. and Cameron Dinsmore in tow. The Spring Branch, Texas racer crossed the line first on lap one but lost the top spot in a three-wide battle through turns one and two on the next circuit. The first caution of the [Read More]

Matson Breaks Through in WaKeeney Hobby Stock Feature

By Sheldon Wickwar WaKeeney, Kan. (May 15, 2026) — The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks capped off the racing program Friday night at WaKeeney Speedway, and it was McCook, Nebraska driver Trent Matson racing to his first B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region victory of the season. Three heat races kicked off the evening with Dillon Thompson, Matson, and James Phelps each picking up victories. Mitchell Fischer claimed the B Main to lock himself into the feature lineup. James Love and Dillon Thompson led the field to green in the main event, with Thompson quickly taking command while heavy hitter Morgan Olmstead settled into third. Matson, the newest member of Getaway Motorsports, climbed into second and engaged Thompson in a fierce duel for the lead. A caution for a Bret Conness spin after contact involving James Phelps, which also collected Ethan Fabrizius, briefly slowed the pace. Once racing resumed, Thompson and Matson continued their battle before Matson finally worked his way around Thompson as the laps wound down. Matson drove on to score his fifth career victory and [Read More]
