
WATSONVILLE, Calif. – Ocean Speedway rolls out the red carpet for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods at this weekend’s fifth annual Pat Pettit Memorial.
Modifieds race for $2,003 to win and a minimum of $103 to start on Friday, Oct. 2 and for $3,003 to win and $203 to start on Saturday, Oct. 3. Both features are Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying events.
Top checks for the Northern SportMods are $503 on Friday and $1,003 on Saturday. Those features each pay a minimum of $103 to take the green.
Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. Friday. The drivers’ meeting is at 4:45 p.m. with hot laps at 5:15 p.m. and racing to follow.
On Saturday, gates open at 1 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 3:30 p.m. The drivers meeting is at 3:45 p.m. and racing follows 4:15 p.m. hot laps.
There is no entry fee. Pit passes are $45.
Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and kids ages 6-12, and free for five and under. A family pass (two adults and two kids) is $45.
