Mackenthun wins 100th on final night of season at Arlington

ARLINGTON, Minn. (Sept. 26) – History was made on the final event of the season at Arlington Raceway as Dan Mackenthun won for the 100th time in his IMCA Sunoco Stock Car career.

Jeff McCollum who won his 100th career feature in the division last year, battled Dan Mackenthun throughout the event. Mackenthun was a bit too anxious as he jumped the start and a yellow came out putting him back two positions.

When the race restarted, Matt Speckman took the lead but McCollum was on the move. Cars were three-wide going into the corners. By lap three, McCollum had the lead and lap by lap, Mackenthun was reeling him in.

By lap 12, Mackenthun got by him to take the lead. On the following lap, McCollum got too high and Brent Uecker was able to take the second spot while Mackenthun sped to the landmark checkers.

Clint Hatlestad won again in the MN 93 IMCA Modifieds. Brandon Allen became the 95.7 IMCA Sprint Car winner when the first car across the line came up light on the post-race scales.

The Eckblad Trucking IMCA Hobby Stock feature ran flag to flag feature and ended with Cory Probst in victory lane. Kevin Kirk collected his first local Unhinged Pizza IMCA Northern SportMod feature win of the season and Jed Trebelhorn topped the Coors Light IMCA Sport Compact main event.
