20-year partner Harris Auto Racing continues sponsorship of Modified Race of Champions

BOONE, Iowa – A long-time supporter continues its financial support of a premier event for Modifieds during the 33rd annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

Harris Auto Racing provides a portion of the purse for the Race of Champions, to be held Saturday, Sept. 12 at Boone Speedway.

Now owned by Modified driver Kyle Brown, the Boone chassis manufacturer and high performance parts retailer is in its 20th season as a marketing partner with IMCA and has been title sponsor of the Race of Champions since 2007.

Qualifying for the 12-car, 12-lap $1,000 to win race is open to top drivers in local track standings competing at Super Nationals, former national, regional and Super Nationals champions, and to previous race winners.

Keith White of Little River Academy, Texas, is the defending race winner. Qualifying for the 27th annual ROC is Thursday, Sept. 10.

“The support Harris has shown for this event remains a key part of their partnership with IMCA and something Kyle and I discussed last winter through the change in ownership,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “We’re proud to continue the strong tradition of this event with Harris Auto Racing as the title sponsor and look forward to another fantastic event in September.”
