$3,500 is top prize at Norman County Raceway’s IMCA Mod Challenge

ADA, Minn. (Aug. 5) – The Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified winner earns a $3,500 share of the $18,700 purse at Norman County Raceway’s Thursday, Aug. 13 Mod Challenge special.

A qualifying event for the 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invita­tional ballot, the Challenge pays $2,250 for second place, $1,600 for third, $1,400 for fourth, $1,250 for fifth and $1,100 for sixth. Minimum start money is $250 and tow money is $50.

Bonuses include the $250 clean sweep and $100 for longest tow, hard charger and tough luck.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Belle­ville Motorsports North Central Region and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded.

Pit gates open at noon, the draw closes at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. The entry fee of $75 includes the driver’s pit pass.

Spectator admission is $12 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under. Admis­sion to the pits is $35.

Sponsored by Sanders Metal Products of Fargo, N.D., the Chal­lenge is the first of four consecutive area races for sanctioned Modifieds. The division also runs Aug. 14 at River Cities Speedway, Aug. 15 at Jamestown Speedway and Aug. 16 at Buffalo River Race Park.
