MANDAN, N.D. – Three sanctioned divisions are on the race program for Dacotah Speedway’s 25th annual Governor’s Cup special.
Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds race for $1,600 to win at Mandan on Friday and Saturday, July 24-25. Their feature is a 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier.
Mach-1 Sport Compacts return to each evening’s program with a top prize of $200 at stake. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars are new to the Friday card, racing for $400 to win.
IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded in all three divisions. Modified and Stock Car drivers also vie for regional points.
The Modified feature pays a minimum of $200 to start and $100 to non-qualifiers, with a $50 registration fee. Minimum start money for the Stock Cars is $90 with a $25 entry fee. Start money for the Sport Compacts is $50 with a $20 registration.
Pit gates and the grandstand at Mandan open at 5 p.m. and qualifying starts at 7 p.m. Friday. Gates open at 3 p.m., the grandstand opens at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Spectator admission is $16 for adults and free for kids ages 12 and under. Pit passes are $25.
