Davenport Speedway falls to rain

DAVENPORT, Iowa (June 26) – Track officials have canceled the weekly race program sched­uled tonight (Friday) at Davenport Speedway because of rain.

Next Friday will bring the Fourth of July-Street Stock Clash and $2,000 awaits the winner of the 50-lap main event. All other classes will be in weekly points action.

Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street in Davenport, Iowa. Pit gates will open next Friday at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m., with hot laps at 6:15 p.m. and racing at 6:45 p.m.
