DAVENPORT, Iowa – After last week’s rainout, Davenport Speedway will host the Koehler Electric season opener this Friday, May 1.
All five weekly classes, Petersen Plumbing & Heating IMCA Late Models, Milan Heating & Air IMCA Modifieds, Koehler Electric Street Stocks, Hawkeye Auto IMCA Northern SportMods and Roto-Rooter 4-Stocks, will be in action on the 1/4-mile dirt oval.
Defending track champions are Justin Kay, Late Model; Doug Crampton, Modified; Bryce Garnhart, Northern SportMod; Donnie Louck, Street Stock; and Brandon Dahl, 4-Stock.
Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street in Davenport. Pit gates open Friday at 4:30 p.m., with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
